Nordic Approach is a forward thinking green coffee importer targeting the emerging market of quality roasters throughout Europe.

Our goal is to take coffee quality to a new level,  starting at the source,  and bring these coffees to roasters that appreciate it’s value and uniqueness.

Our mission is to not only raise the quality of the coffee but to contribute to a more transparent and sustainable coffee trade by developing close relationships and build bridges between farmers, exporters and roasters.

The founders of the company, Morten Wennersgaard and Tim Wendelboe have several years of experience as roasters and importers of green coffee. We have both spent years traveling and sourcing coffee. Our long experience with roasting, quality control and preparation of coffee has given us a clear vision of what it takes to be a preferred partner for the producers as well as a great supplier for roasters.

Nordic Approach is all about quality in the cup.
We believe that the only way to truly understand coffee quality is to connect every step in the chain of operations with what comes out at the cupping table. Trying to figure out where and how to improve by extensive cup tasting is crucial if you are to build a portfolio of reliable quality suppliers as well as satisfied clients. Therefore we aim to develop strong relationships with farmers that produce coffee with great flavour potential and exporters that understand the complexity of dry milling and the importance of effective shipments and good storage conditions.

By working closely with coffee producers, helping them implement customized protocols for quality control, we aim to raise the standards of the best quality coffees to a new level.
We will spend as much time as needed with the producers and exporters, being hands-on both during and after the harvest to make sure the the uniqueness and quality of the coffee is maintained until it reaches it’s final destination.

Committing to long-term contracts with producers will help create a more predictable future for all parties. The producers will be able to invest in equipment, plant treatment, selective picking and correct processing to ensure the full potential of the crop and our clients will get a steady supply of high quality coffees in the future.

Our business idea is to develop unique coffee lots together with producers around the world and sell these lots, to quality focused roasters,  from our warehouse in Europe.
We will also be able to do sourcing and help out with shipping full containers “back to back” FOB direct to the roasters.
